Preferred Community Not as Preferred Without Capitol Help

Kevontae Ruggs and JaKorey Hawkins with Coach Saintfort

Our Lee Generals marched into the “preferred community” of pRattville and ran out with a 51 – 37 victory.  The Generals put over 400 yards rushing on the Lions and four running backs average over 10 yards a carry.  It was reported that you had to be quick to catch the final score as the scoreboard went blank immediately after the game due to the score or a lack of an electrical payment by the “preferred community”.

Tadarrien “TT” Murray accounted for five touchdowns which led some fans to wonder if TT stood for too many touchdowns!  While only carrying the ball six times Murray put 138 yards and scored on 4 of his six carries.  He also had 2 receptions for 80 yards and a TD.  Oh, by the way he continues to average well over 40 yards on his “2” punts for the night.

Defensively the Generals were led by the linebacker duo of Chris “War” Ware and Cameron Longmire who stymied the Lion offense (when they were not moving the ball by penalties) all night long.  While the coaches are never going to be satisfied giving up 37 points, it is safe to say that they would have never expected half a hundred out of this retooled offense.  Kaniaus Johnson, TT, Pickett, and company have to be congratulated on making the most of what is available.  The o-line has to be one of the best in the state.  Yes, Cam wore out the d-lineman with all the offers.  Most of the 400 rushing yards came behind Cam’s blocking.

As a final note, the “preferred community” needs to go back to the days of pulling twenty or so players from the “un-preferred community” of Montgomery.  Seems they were much better when they had 15 – 20 Montgomery players dotting their roster.  For the mere penalties that were placed on the Advertising’s findings, it might be worth continuing an old tradition.

This could continue but it will end with a…great job coaches!
