Wednesday all Lee Generals football players were summonsed to the school lobby.  Upon their arrival was the presentation of the City Championship trophy earned by the 2016 City Champions.  Teams can talk of the “summer grind”, sweat, and occasional doubt that all athletes feel.  But only one can say they overcame and succeeded.  Congratulations to the Lee Generals on fulfilling a team goal – back-to-back.

Through all of the work, occasional bantering, and competition, Montgomery can boast some of the finest football played in the state.  Carver, Jeff Davis, Lanier, Park Crossing, and Lee all serve us proud and the talent in the city makes our Friday nights special to watch.

Lee hopes nothing more than ALL five city teams are playing playoff football in a few weeks.  Congratulations again to our administration, coaches, and especially players on making Lee the only place to be.  “UNFINISHED BUSINESS”.
