As I have told you before, I was always told if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all. Unfortunately I don’t always listen well. The bus trip was nice…very quiet
on the way home. Tedarrian Murray had the best night punting that Lee has had in probably a decade. Eight punts for a 45+ average and four inside the twenty. Then there was Henry Ruggs III, 100 yards rushing on only six carries and seven receptions for 169 yards. I don’t care who you cheer for on the next level but Ruggs III is going to force many of us to watch a team that we may not necessarily pull for. If you have not been to a game, regardless of the outcome, it is worth the price of admission to see possibly the best athlete in the south in action.
With the loss the Generals drop to 6 and 2 (3 – 2 in the region). The loss sets up a multi faceted situation going into the Enterprise game for second through fourth in the region. There is a possibility of the Generals landing in any of the three spots. Lee could go from hosting a first round game to traveling to Mobile to play the highly touted McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets. By that time of the season it really doesn’t matter as youhave to play the best to be the best.
Lets hope the Generals travel to Enterprise Thursday and return to the Generals of old, take a two week break and start a long playoff run.
It’s always a great day to be a General!
