Multiple Teams · Fort Payne Feels the Pain as the Generals Improve to 3 and 0

The Lee Generals improved to 3 and 0 with an 86 – 57 victory over Fort Payne in the Hewitt-Trussville Thanksgiving Tournament.  As the previous teams have learned the Generals just keep coming at you in waves.  They are fast, athletic, and play above the rim for a team with only a few big men.  At one point after several Demond Robinson, Henry Ruggs III, Kevontae Ruggs, and Brian McLean dunks a Fort Payne fan asked if anyone on the team couldn’t dunk.  It was quickly pointed out that there one of fifteen that can’t.

Sophomore Demond Robinson led the Generals with 20 points and 12 rebounds.  Devonte Davis came off the bench and contributed 18 points and was joined in double figures by Brian McLean and Kevontae Ruggs with 10 each.

The Generals will be back in action Monday when they face Oak Mountain in the second round.
