Henry Ruggs III wasted no time letting people know why he is one of the most coveted football players in the southeast this year. In the annual Alabama – Mississippi All-star Game Ruggs III took the opening kickoff at the nine yard line and literally covered the next 91 yards untouched. As has been mentioned several times, Mississippi quickly found out what the vast majority of Alabama already knew, do not let Henry touch the ball.
The result of his game netted Ruggs III the Sportz Blitz Player of the Week Award sponsored by the Lee Marketing Group. This is just another notch Henry can put in his belt after two years of amazing accomplishments on the football field. Aside from the many replays of his exploits on the field, Raycom television discussed in depth the stickers Henry proudly displayed on his helmet. The multiple “RS” stickers were in reference to our late Rod Scott and the influence he had on Ruggs III efforts on the football field.
Congratulations to Henry on representing the Lee Nation in his typical professional manner.
He is just another reason it is great to be a General!
