The Generals baseball team headed to Prattville for a doubleheader against Prattville Christian. They split the twin bill losing the first game 11 to 5 before rebounding in the second with a 17 – 4 victory. The games put the Generals at 12 and 4 on the season.
The opening game featured big hits with a home run and triple from DJ Patterson, Jeremy Moore (one double) and Atrayu Beamon each had two hits. Henry Ruggs III had a triple and two stolen bases in the game.
The nightcap saw the Generals pitching pickup and the bats come alive. Jeremy Woodall pitched 6 and 2/3 innings picking up 10 strikeouts only giving up 4 hits. On the offensive side Lee was led by Ruggs III with four hits (triple and 2 doubles) and 8 RBI’s…Eight RBI’s…EIGHT RBI’s. Don’t know what the school record for RBI’s in a game is but eight is crazy. O’mari Clay busted a home run and two doubles with three RBI’s. Bradley Dobbs threw in three hits and an RBI and Woodall helped his pitching performance with a hit and 2 RBI’s.
The Generals will be back in action Tuesday @ 4:30 at Pete Lee Field.
